d. A little tenuous - but Thomas's son George was born in the Registration District of Bedwelty. The only mention in the death records of a Thomas Edwards in the Bedwelty District that mathematically matches is Sept 1902. This would put Thomas's age at death at about 71 (Bedwelty 11a 68) IF he stayed and died in Tredegar, Bedwelty District.
The 1881 Census states "Dwelling: Pulth Y Grosse. Census Place: Bryngwyn, Monmouth, Wales. Occupation: Labourer". George's birth certificate tells us that Thomas Edwards was a "General Labourer" of High Street, Tredegar - it also states "X the mark of Thomas Edwards" which would indicate he was unable to write.
